We operate a novel privacy preserving IoT healthcare platform that remotely monitors an Asthma/COPD patients circumstancial, environmental and medication consumption activities’ between clinicals appointments’.

We achieve this by connecting dumb medical devices for Asthma/COPD patients such as DPI and MDI inhalers and PEF devices supported by an intelligent patient App to allow us to real time record this activity.

In the UK in 2019, over 10 million people suffered an asthma attack, 68,000 people were hospitalised and sadly over 1,500 died. In as much as Asthma is a complex disease with multiple triggers both environmental and psychological which can cause inflammation or allergic reaction within the airways causing an attack, sadly 2/3rd of these statistics are preventable if only patients followed the adherence and guidance from their Doctors.

These tragic statistics continued to mount up year on year due to lack of lack of patient self-management, imperfect adherence in taking medication and reliance on fallible patient memory at Doctors surgeries. This results in sub-optimal asthma control, which leads to increases in oral corticosteroid use, acute exasperations, hospital admissions and mortality.

This solution is interactive, providing health care professionals with real time data they can use to develop more personalised asthma care plans, provide timely intervention in the case of deterioration, making care, more patient centric

Health professionals have access to real time, live patient reports allowing them to remain connected to their patients between clinical appointments, helping to improve adherence to medication, improve asthma management and patient self management while allowing for early intervention if required.
