About
We are female founders with two lifetimes of experience in service to children, with children. Our ambition is for all children’s voices to be heard and our digital participation tools are trusted by organisations for children in social care, education and youth justice. We believe every child is capable of expressing valid views, wishes and feelings about all areas of life that concern them. We embrace the fact that children and young people are experts by experience and harness their energy through our co-production approach to development.
Our software is safe, secure and inclusive, accessed on any device using any browser. Young people are in control and use the apps at times and in situations that suit them. Mind Of My Own enables children and young people to communicate safely with a trusted adult. In turn this enables that adult, usually a practitioner, to respond and act. Children’s and young people’s participation is enshrined within their human rights and a powerful way to challenge and change practice. Mind Of My Own apps make a unique contribution both to children’s liberty and to services’ potential for transformation.
We are certificated with ISO27001 and compliant with GDPR and the Children’s Code.
Key Facts
Tens of thousands of children’s views have been communicated on statements via our software. These statements often represent the only documents on a child’s personal records that are in the child’s own words and that are strengths-based. Minimum 8 days a year per professional saved by children using the apps instead of practitioners having to write up notes.
