Key Facts
The MIM Cell analysis add-on has been used by researchers within a CRUK funded project led by Leeds University to quantify lymphocyte density in GI H&E slides across multiple trials from 10s of institutions amounting to over 6000 images. Initial results suggest one may be able predict if patients need Chemotherapy from this analysis. Researchers in Tohoku in Japan are using the MIM 3D Pathology add-on to analyse the spatial distribution of tumour deposits in order to better understand and treat lower GI cancers.
