About

Careology provides digital and AI powered technology to support people diagnosed with cancer and the teams supporting them. Connecting them to their healthcare provider, clinical team and caregivers, to deliver higher quality, value and efficiency in cancer care.

The patient app (available on iOS, Android and Web) supports users during and after their treatment. Helping them to monitor key parts of their health and wellbeing eg. symptoms, toxicities, medication and treatment journal etc. Data can be self-reported, streamed from connected Bluetooth wearable devices or through digital questionnaires eg. HNAs and PROMs.

Careology enables greater patient self-management, encourages timely reporting of side effects and improves medication adherence and persistence. Patients receive a personalised user experience as the app shows well-timed information (articles, recipes and tips) from trusted sources such as Macmillan Cancer Support and National Cancer Institute.

Patients can share this information with their family and friends through a dedicated Caregiver App.

Healthcare providers, cancer care teams and navigators access this real-time patient information through the remote monitoring tools, Careology Professional. This dashboard provides a ‘virtual ward’ for their population of patients. This visibility and insight enables them to carry out safe and scalable remote patient monitoring, delivers operating efficiencies and creates clinical capacity by safely prioritising patients using best practice clinical protocols. It also enables personalised care, greater signposting and informed conversations. The platform is interoperable and connects with third party platforms using FHIR.

Successes in UK/NHS

Careology has been successfully deployed with three UK clients in the last 12 months; LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare, who treat over 100,000 patients nationwide. Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, operating 37 hospitals. RedArc, the leading provider of long-term support for people facing serious illness. These partnerships are already establishing rich data sets for us to evaluate and report on the impact our innovative digital cancer care has on the patient experience, clinical health outcomes and provider operating efficiencies. We have built a significant sales pipeline over the last 12 months, including some of the leading NHS Trusts, Cancer Centres and Cancer Alliances. Two NHS sites are currently in the pre-delivery phase and will be deploying Careology by October 2022. A number of additional NHS sites are also in final stage discussions, with deployments expected within the next 6 months. We are the strategic partner of Macmillan Cancer Support, the leading cancer charity in the UK. Through this partnership, Careology and Macmillan are developing a range of ground-breaking digital initiatives to better support people living with cancer, their caregivers and their healthcare teams. The partnership marks an important strategic milestone in achieving the ambitions of both organisations on helping to transform and rebuild cancer services across the UK.
