Parkinson’s: NHS hospital study demonstrated enhanced patient experience and medications adherence, published in Nature Parkinson’s: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41531-016-0003-z. Funded through Small Business Research Initiative, partnering with Parkinson’s UK and 7 of the UK’s top neurologists
Colorectal cancer: deployment at Christie Hospital in Manchester with Mark Saunders, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, with funding from NHS Vanguard programme
Diabetes: working with Dr Pratik Choudhary, Project Lead and Senior Lecturer and Consultant in Diabetes at King’s College London to support virtual trial element of pan-European Hypo-RESOLVE study. Large study funded by Innovative Medicines Initiative involving deployment at 8 sites in 5 European countries
Rheumatology: large-scale real-world study with Professor Will Dixon from Manchester University engaged 13,000 people to track their pain and the weather every day for 6 months. The ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Pain’ study has been published in Nature (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41746-019-0180-3) and featured globally in the press (https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2020/05/28/weather-aches-pains-research/) as the leading example of highly engaging research, helping unlock new insights
