MyWay Digital Health (ww.mwdh.co.uk) is a University of Dundee spin out company who deploy large regional and national platforms. Their flagship product, a patient facing diabetes solution, MyWay Diabetes (MWD), enables health record access, QISMET accredited structured education, remote monitoring, data upload, and personalised automated advice, linked to a localised public education website. MWD has been implemented in around 30% of the UK through several large regional contracts, and nationaly in Scotland (where >60,000 people with diabetes have registered for full data access) (https://mywaydigitalhealth.co.uk/platform/). In addition, the MWDH MyWay Clinical platform is a clinician-facing EMR, remote monitoring, decision-support, population analytics platform) (MHRA Class 1 CE marked). MWDH also delivers the national mytype1diabetes.nhs.uk platform for NHS England. MWDH patient education sites receive around 30,000 new user visits per months. MyWay Diabetes delivers significant improvements in user outcomes (knowledge/ motivatIon), improvements in glucose control, blood pressure, cholesterol and weight, and significant short term cost savings through reduced appointments, and long term cost savings ($5 for every $1 invested) through reduced long term complications. MWDH have offices in Dundee, Edinburgh, London and Dubai. MWDH have been selected as NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) fellows, and have won multiple national and international product and company awards, including the European e-ehealth adopters award. MWDH has raised around $3m in Innovation funding to support cutting edge R&D around machine learning/ artificial intelligence enabling drug response predictions (precision medicine), acute and chronic complication predictions and diagnostic decision support.
