Mindwave

Mindwave is one of the leading, National Health Service approved, developers of patient engagement portals. Currently working with four English counties and several local healthcare providers in mental health, children’s health and cancer care.

Mindwave’s patient engagement portal Maia can encourage patients to adopt positive behaviour change, to assist self-management, and can improve the transactional relationship with their healthcare provider. Portals can support pre-assessment, and enhance ongoing communication between patients, clinical teams and carers, toward the shared goal of improved patient outcomes.

The portals have been developed with extensive input from patients, clinicians and carers. Mindwave’s strengths are in user-centred design and service design.

Mindwave works collaboratively and has established formal co-creation agreements with leading healthcare providers and suppliers of compatible products. The company has developed a platform in Africa working in partnership with academics and healthcare providers.

Mindwave works with an agile mindset and a strong person-centred ethos, underpinned by the principles of the UK government design service standard (GDS).
