Successes in UK/NHS

The largest real time stroke registry in the NHS. CaptureStroke (CS) has been supporting partners currently participating in the Thrombolysis in Acute Stroke Care (TASC) initiative. Feedback and outcomes from Univeristy Hospitals Derby & Burton utilising the bespoke CS TASC dashboards have been positive. For TASC, Derby shifted from a single CNS model to a full Stroke Response Team (CNS, consultant, HASU nurse ± junior doctor) for pre-alerts. By doing so, they reduced delays and eased individual workload. Utilising CaptureStroke’s unique capabilities alongside these changes, they saw significant improvements and were able to manage their data more effectively. Results*: ● 9-minute improvement in door-to-needle time ● 46% improvement in time to the stroke unit ● Identified as one of the cleanest datasets reviewed ● Quick identification of data entry errors using CS intuitive reports ● Effortless monthly analysis of missed targets and outliers “CaptureStroke is helping us to ensure quality data collection to support the service, maximise Best Practice Tariff (BPT) performance and evidence SSNAP target attainment” Tracy Bray, Senior Clinical Systems Project Manager, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust https://www.htworld.co.uk/news/research-news/teamwork-gets-to-the-heart-of-stroke-data-capture-sb24/
